Performs a variety of accounting functions and/or transactions such as data entry, verification, reconciliation, analyzing, researching, and record keeping. Resolves questions and problems presented by internal and external customers. Recognizes public and constituent issues and identifies actions to address such issues, including the involvement of other appropriate ADOT groups.
This position may be available for remote work within Arizona (Two (2) days per week in the office/hoteling).

Job Duties:
Sorting, filing and scanning invoices processed by the unit. Monitoring duplication, reviewing account statements, status requests, rush payments and ensuring all prompt pay discounts are taken when available by properly coding. Requesting additional items when needed.
Resolves questions and problems presented by internal and external customers. Recognizes public and constituent issue and identify actions to address such issues, including the involvement of other appropriate ADOT groups and functions.
Reviews, records, and reconciles vendor invoices using state automated accounting systems while monitoring purchase orders for contract compliance and reporting variances to procurement. Manages past-due inquiries to keep accounts current, and collaborates with internal customers to resolve invoice corrections or documentation issues.

This position requires driving or the use of a vehicle as an essential function of the job, and the following requirements apply. Any employee operating a motor vehicle on State business must possess and retain a current, valid class-appropriate driver’s license, complete all required training, and successfully pass all necessary driver’s license record checks. The license must be current, unexpired, and neither revoked nor suspended. Employees who drive on state business are subject to driver’s license record checks, must maintain acceptable driving records, and must complete all required driver training. An employee who operates a personally owned vehicle on state business shall maintain the statutorily required liability insurance (see Arizona Administrative Code (A.A.C.) R2-10-207.11).
