WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING| THE ROLE
Description of Job: The Accounting Shared Services Manager is responsible for overseeing the accounts payable, accounts receivable, and capital draw request process; providing guidance for the team members associated; troubleshooting issues that cause a delay in workflows.
Job Duties/Skills:
- Oversee the accounts payable process, including monitoring AP Aging reports and workflow timeliness reports at a high level, managing third-party service provider.
- Oversee vendor management process.
- Manage the cash receipts process, monitoring aging reports and payment registers to identify variances.
- Manage operating property capital draw request process to ensure all qualifying expenses are requested in a timely manner.
- Manage month-end close processes for a portfolio of 23 properties.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor or as needed for business operations.
- Drive automation and scalable processes to enhance reporting efficiency and reduce manual effort.
WHAT YOU BRING| THE PERSON
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field

Experience: 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role, preferably in property management or real estate.
- Strong technical accounting skills and proficiency in GAAP; knowledge of real estate accounting principles.
- Proficient in real estate financial management software (e.g., Yardi, MRI) and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments and levels of the organization, focused on building an engaged and efficient team.
- Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy and analytical problem-solving skills.
- Proactive, self-motivated, and able to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Commitment to integrity, ethics, and professionalism in all aspects of work.
- Ability to successfully manage multiple priorities and competing demands; strong time management and prioritization skills.

- Education: Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
