Sanofi Global Services Bogotá Hub, established in 2022, is part of Sanofi’s global network, supporting the Americas region with best-in-class finance and human resources services. The hub brings transversal expertise to manage complex projects, drive continuous improvement, automation, and process enhancements.

Within the Bogota Hub, as part of Sanofi’s Business Transformation organization, the Closing & Reporting Analyst plays a key role within the Account-to-Report (A2R) process. This position focuses on delivering high-quality General Ledger closing and reporting services, ensuring compliance with global standards, and contributing to the efficiency and reliability of financial operations.

Main responsibilities

Operations (Closing & Reporting)

  • Deliver General Ledger monthly closing and reporting services in accordance with Service Level Agreements (SLAs)
  • Perform monthly closing activities following Group timelines and procedures
  • Review system interfaces and ensure accurate postings, including AR/AP sub-ledgers closure and Balance Sheet & P&L account validation
  • Prepare and post manual journal entries (MJE), ensuring all recurring and non-recurring items are properly recorded
  • Reconcile accounts and ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data
  • Prepare management, tax, legal, and statutory reports at both Group and country level
  • Generate ad-hoc reports and analysis to support business decision-making
  • Contribute to business reviews and financial insights
  • Ensure compliance with Sanofi accounting policies, internal controls, and SOX/audit requirements
  • Deliver operational KPIs and ensure adherence to the global Core Model
  • Develop deep expertise in processes and become a key user within the A2R scope
  • Anticipate operational issues and support/coaching for junior analysts
  • Document and support knowledge transfer of A2R processes

Continuous Improvement

  • Identify and implement process improvement opportunities
  • Support automation initiatives and ensure effective adoption of new tools and processes
  • Contribute to enhancing efficiency and standardization across operations

About you

Experience

  • Proven experience in General Ledger accounting, closing, and reporting processes
  • Experience working in international or shared services environments is a plus
  • Solid knowledge of IFRS and ideally exposure to local GAAPs
  • Experience in financial reporting and closing cycles in multicultural environments

Soft & Technical skills

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams in an end-to-end process mindset
  • Strong organizational and prioritization skills
  • Proactive, action-oriented, and results-driven mindset
  • Ability to coach or support junior team members
  • Strong communication skills and client-oriented approach
  • Hands-on experience with SAP FICO (required)
  • Experience with accounting tools (e.g., Cadency) is a plus
  • Advanced MS Excel skills and good command of Microsoft Office

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting (required)

Languages

  • Advanced English required
