Your mission will be…

  • You are responsible for providing guidance to companies worldwide in the preparation of the consolidated financial statements in accordance with accounting standards (IFRS).
  • You also provide guidance for assigned entities and regions on complex accounting matters, including first-time consolidations, liquidations, mergers, capital transactions, and similar activities.
  • You analyze, assess, and prepare timely reports for the organization/business unit as well as for Finance & Controlling management. This includes identifying, analyzing, and providing commentary on developments and changes affecting the external consolidated financial statements.
  • You are responsible for performing plausibility checks and resolving complex accounting issues in close coordination with operating companies, business partners, and central functions.
  • Driving digitalization and automation initiatives within the financial closing process and the area of group consolidation is also an integral part of the role.

We are looking for someone with…

  • A successfully completed University degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field with a specialization in Accounting and Controlling forms the basis of your qualifications.
  • You have several years of professional experience in accounting and/or finance. A thorough understanding of Siemens’ financial processes and value flows is required.
  • You possess extensive expertise in group consolidation, sub-group consolidation, and the accounting support of legal entities as part of the preparation of consolidated financial statements.
  • You have very good knowledge of the consolidation system ESPRIT and the SAP ERP Finance module.
  • You bring expert knowledge of IFRS accounting standards, including IFRS policies and the IFRS chart of accounts. In addition, you have advanced skills in MS Office, and consolidation systems such as BCS and Group Reporting.
  • You are distinguished by your digital mindset and intercultural experience.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills in international environments (primarily virtual) enable you to effectively represent the interests of the Governance department.
  • You are characterized by assertiveness skills, as well as flexibility.
  • Strong time management skills to meet tight deadlines, flexibility to adapt support and services to (ad hoc) requirements, and a high degree of discretion in handling confidential information are essential.
  • Fluent English language skills, both written and spoken, are required for this position.
