Location: Santa Cruz,Central Luzon,Philippines

Planate Management Group (PMG) is a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) headquartered in Alexandria, Virginia, and Orlando, Florida USA with a technical support center in South East Asia and East Africa, that provides program management and facilities engineering services worldwide. Planate is a small business provider of planning, design, infrastructure management, technical consulting, engineering, and construction management services in support of the US Department of Defense (DOD) and its Service (Army, Air Force, Navy, Marine Corps) missions, along with other US federal agencies, all over the world.

The Accounting Manager is a full-time, onsite role responsible for overseeing daily accounting operations, guiding financial decisions, and developing a strategic financial picture for the company. This position ensures compliance with statutory benefits, payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) requirements specific to the Subic Bay Freeport Zone. The Accounting Manager will establish, monitor, and enforce policies and procedures to safeguard company assets and support organizational growth.

Key responsibilities:

  • Lead, monitor, and assist the Accounting Group in daily operations.
  • Lead and manage accounting audit for all Planate Philippine entities.
  • Oversee payroll processing, statutory benefits compliance, accounts payable, and accounts receivable functions.
  • Ensure timely and accurate submission of BIR requirements and other government-mandated reports.
  • Supervise completion of internal control audits and implement corrective measures when risks or errors are identified.
  • Establish and improve system controls for financial systems; coordinate and lead accounting functions during system implementations.
  • Protect company assets by enforcing strong internal controls.
  • Provide detailed analysis of financial results with actionable recommendations.
  • Participate in strategic initiatives and operational decision-making.
  • Perform other responsibilities as may be appropriate to the role.

Qualifications to be successful in the role:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • 5–10 years of experience in finance and/or accounting, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation preferred.
  • Strong understanding of accounting systems and financial processes.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proficiency in financial reporting and analysis.
  • Advanced skills in MS Office applications, particularly MS Excel.
