Accounting Manager North Europe

Are you an accounting professional enjoying to balance strategic oversight with direct operational involvement? We are looking for an Accounting Manager North Europe, to drive and optimize our finance operational activities into a streamlined and digitalized finance, while managing Accounting, Reporting and Compliance.

Key responsibilities:

The Accounting Manager North Europe is overall responsible for Accounting, Reporting and Compliance of several legal entities in Northern Europe. The role includes leading, supporting and developing your team of accountants and be actively involved in hands-on monthly reporting and day-to-day operational accounting tasks.

This is a go-to role with a broad network and many interactions inside and outside the organization. You need to be curious, unpretentious and enjoy the shift between holistic view and hands on details

· Oversee all accounting operations for North Europe, ensuring accuracy, compliance and timely reporting

· Manage and prepare monthly reporting and closing processes

· Ensure compliance with local, regional and international accounting standards

· Manage and prepare Statutory Accounts, Corporate Income Tax calculation, VAT and other compliance filings

· Lead, coordinate and perform daily accounting activities such as reconciliations, fixed assets & inventory management, Accounts receivable & Accounts Payable, payroll, intercompany, business operations support

· Lead and develop a team of accountants, supporting their growth and performance as well as co-ordinating with other relevant stakeholders in the process

· Pro-actively identify and implement process improvements to drive digitalization and efficiency

· Lead and coordinate activities with Auditors, advisors and Authorities

To be successful in this position you would need:

· Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field

· ~10-15 years of experience in legal entity accounting in an international setting

· Strong knowledge in legal entity accounting, Swedish GAAP (K3), compliance and tax accounting

· Proven successful leadership and team management experience

· Proven experience from driving continuous process improvements

· Advanced excel skills and experience with ERP systems, preferably Jeeves

· Problem solving and solution oriented

· Communicative and high sense of Customer/Stakeholder management

· Fluent in Swedish and English, verbally and in writing

This role will be reporting to Head of Global Finance Operations and be an onsite role in Gothenburg.
