Key Responsibilities Team Leadership & Development: Manage, train, and mentor a small team of junior and intermediate accountants to maintain high operational standards . Financial Oversight & Review: Review monthly management accounts, VAT returns, and annual financial statements to guarantee accuracy and compliance . Client Advisory & Relationship Management: Build and sustain strong relationships with key clients, offering proactive financial and tax advisory support . Statutory Compliance: Ensure all client and corporate submissions to SARS and CIPC are completed accurately and timeously . Process Improvement: Identify workflow inefficiencies and implement tech-forward solutions to streamline bookkeeping and financial reporting processes . Requirements Essential Requirements Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or an equivalent qualification . Minimum 3 to 5 years of post-qualification experience, preferably within an accounting or auditing practice . Proven proficiency in modern accounting software (such as Caseware, Xero, Sage Accounting, or Pastel) and Microsoft Excel . Sound knowledge of local South African taxation laws and IFRS for SMEs . Ability to work full-time on-site in Westlake, Cape Town Valid driver's license and own vehicle Desirable Requirements Professional designation (e.g. SAICA, SAIPA, or CIMA) is highly advantageous .
