Verra Mobility is hiring an Accounting Manager in the centralized accounting function This position will report to the Assistant Controller and currently has one direct report

Essential Responsibilities: 

• Manage and lead a direct report including providing guidance, coaching, and training to ensure their professional development and effective performance

• Manage and oversee the day-to-day accounting operations of fixed assets, general ledger, and month-end/year-end close processes

• Responsible for managing our inventory processes and completing tasks including but not limited to inventory revaluations, reviewing standard costs, and supporting the inventory counts.

• Manage and review analysis, reports, journal entries and reconciliations prepared by the team.

• Review financial statements, and provide explanations for fluctuations of accounts to senior leadership as needed

• Demonstrate attention to detail and effective multi-tasking

• Provide support to internal and external auditors in connection with the year-end audit and quarterly reviews  

• Continuously assess and improve accounting processes and systems to enhance efficiency and accuracy.

Qualifications:  

• Bachelor'sMaster’s degree in Accounting

• Minimum of 12 years accounting experience 

• 7-9 years experience performing fixed assets and related duties

• Proficient with MS Excel and use of formulas

• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment

• Strong written and verbal communication skills 

• Interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively and collaborate with people cross-functionally
