We're looking for an Accounting Manager who will assist the team with the month-end process and help shape how we view/manage the day to day via dashboards and operational efficiencies. This role will lead a team of 2 Staff Accountants and report the Assistant Controller.
Areas of Responsibility
Drive the close. This manager will assist with close and review of the FS, in the areas of: inventory, cash, accruals, and AR analysis
Lead people, not just entries. Directly manage two Staff Accountants, coaching them and building a strong, high-performing team.
Be the reconciliation quarterback. Own your specific areas.
Shape how we work. Partner with the Assistant Controller to build and refine the financial structures, systems, and controls that keep the company's assets secure and its numbers trustworthy.
Fix what's broken. Spot inefficiencies and lead process improvements — you'll have real license to challenge the status quo.
Be the connector. Coordinate with outside auditors, government agencies, and tax consultants, making sure they get what they need, when they need it.
Take on the big stuff. Jump into special projects for the Assistant Controller and Controller — visibility with leadership comes standard.

Since 1957, The Honey Baked Ham Company has been a cherished guest at holidays, special occasions and family dinners. It was then that Harry J. Hoenselaar opened the first Honey Baked Ham store in Detroit, Michigan. He'd select the finest quality bone-in ham, cure it in his secret marinade, and then for tenderness, he'd smoke the ham for hours over a unique blend of hardwood chips.
The crowning touch was Harry's crunchy sweet glaze that crackled with good taste. He even invented and patented a unique machine to slice it perfectly. Three generations and more than 400 stores later, the Hoenselaar family still prepares each Honey Baked Ham the same way that Harry did – one ham at a time.
