Summary
The Accounting Manager supports the Controller in overseeing day-to-day accounting operations, financial reporting, and the monthly close. This role helps ensure accurate, timely, and GAAP-compliant financial information while leading and developing accounting staff.
Responsibilities
- Support the Controller in overseeing accounting operations and financial reporting
- Manage monthly close in FloQast and preparation of financial statements including TB flux analysis
- Oversee general ledger activity and coordinate with accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll
- Ensure transactions and account reconciliations are recorded accurately and timely in accordance with GAAP
- Support audits and compliance with applicable regulatory and tax requirements
- Provide clear financial information and respond to requests from business leaders
- Supervise, coach, and develop assigned accounting team members
- Perform other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field
- At least two years of experience at the Senior Accountant level or above
- Five or more years of progressive accounting experience
- Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, and internal controls
- Employment is contingent upon successful completion of required background checks
Preferred

Qualifications
- Aviation or aerospace industry experience
- CPA or equivalent certification

- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and accounting systems
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to prioritize competing deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to collaborate effectively across functions and with senior leaders

Supervisory Responsibilities
- Directly supervises assigned accounting team members
