Drug Plastics Corporate Office is looking for you to join our Accounting team! As an Accounting Manager, you are responsible for overseeing the organization’s accounting operations, ensuring accurate financial reporting, maintaining compliance with accounting standards and regulations, and managing the accounting team. This position is salaried and works Monday through Friday 8am-5pm.

Responsibilities Include:
Financial Management & Reporting
- Assist in the preparation and review of monthly and annual financial statements.
- Ensure accuracy and completeness of general ledger activities.
- Manage month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Analyze financial results and prepare management reports.
- Monitor cash flow and support budgeting and forecasting activities.
- Supervise and review the generation of monthly manufacturing variances and plant performance reports. Analyze and investigate significant variances and deviations for report to management.
Accounting Operations
- Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, cost and fixed asset accounting.
- Supervise and manage the maintenance of standards for raw materials and finished goods.
- Reconcile selected balance sheet accounts.
- Maintain accounting records and supporting documentation.
- Ensure timely and accurate processing of financial transactions.
- Implement and improve accounting policies and procedures.
Compliance & Internal Controls
- Ensure compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), IFRS, or applicable accounting standards.
- Coordinate and manage annual external audits.
- Maintain effective internal controls to safeguard company assets.
Team Leadership
- Supervise, mentor, and develop accounting staff.
- Assign responsibilities and monitor team performance.
- Conduct performance evaluations and provide coaching.
- Foster a collaborative and high-performing work environment.
Process Improvement
- Identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes.
- Implement automation and financial system enhancements.
- Support ERP system implementations and upgrades.
- Develop best practices to improve efficiency and accuracy.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
- CPA, CMA, or equivalent professional certification preferred.
- 5–8+ years of progressive accounting experience.
- 2-5+ years in manufacturing environment.
- 2–3+ years of supervisory or management experience.
- Experience with financial reporting, audits, and general ledger management.
