Job Description

The Accounting Manager is responsible for overseeing the company's accounting operations, ensuring accurate financial records, compliance with Cambodian tax regulations, and timely financial reporting. This role supports business decision-making through effective financial management, internal controls, and leadership of the accounting team.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Oversee daily accounting operations, including Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), General Ledger (GL), and bookkeeping.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports.
  • Manage month-end and year-end closing processes to ensure timely and accurate reporting.
  • Ensure compliance with Cambodian tax regulations, including GDT requirements, Tax on Salary (TOS), VAT, Withholding Tax, and NSSF reporting.
  • Monitor cash flow, perform bank reconciliations, and support budgeting and financial forecasting activities.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain effective accounting policies, internal controls, and financial procedures.
  • Coordinate and support internal and external audits, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Oversee payroll processing and ensure compliance with statutory requirements.
  • Lead, coach, and develop the accounting team to achieve high performance and continuous improvement.
  • Provide financial analysis and recommendations to support strategic business decisions.

Main Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Professional qualifications such as CAT, ACCA, CPA, or equivalent are an advantage.
  • Minimum 5 years of progressive accounting experience, including experience in a supervisory or managerial role.
  • Experience in FMCG, manufacturing, or trading industries is preferred.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, or similar ERP systems).
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Strong understanding of Cambodian International Financial Reporting Standards (CIFRS for SMEs) and Cambodian tax regulations.
  • Experience dealing with GDT compliance, tax filings, and financial audits.
  • Good communication skills in Khmer and English, both written and spoken.
