Job Description

A well established contractor that has completed projects on some of the most well-known buildings and monuments in the Washington area is looking for a hands-on Accounting Manager. This is a full-time onsite role at the company's office near Bowie that will supervise the work of 5-6 accountants and AP/AR staff. You will work cross functionally with project managers to oversee the safe and efficient completion of multiple projects at a time.

What You'll Do:

• Own the full accounting cycle with a focus on WIP reporting
• Work cross-functionally with Project Managers to ensure financial accuracy
• Lead and mentor a small team of Staff Accountants and AP/AR specialists while resolving issues with confidence
• Leverage Sage 300 CRE to drive process improvements

What We’re Looking For:

• Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent experience
• 3+ years of construction accounting experience
• Experience with Sage 300 CRE is a must
• Proven leadership and conflict resolution skills
• Strong understanding of WIP Accounting
• Experience in a unionized environment is a bonus
