And what will you do?



Responsible for day-to-day leadership of accounting team supporting the organization. Seeks ways to engage the team in continuous improvement projects. Responsible in overseeing the analysis and interpreting financial reports; ensuring compliance with internal controls, policies, procedures, and GAAP; and ensuring proper internal reporting of financial information for areas responsible. A successful candidate will be a self-starter, have a sense of urgency, be attentive to details, be adept at multi-tasking, and feel comfortable working with multiple stakeholders.


Core Functions:

  • Train and develop team through on-the-job training and coaching. Instills a team culture that aligns with Company purpose and values and with Company leadership expectations.
  • Ensures clear communication and alignment with other functions such as operations, purchasing, logistics, sales, marketing, engineering, etc.
  • Responsibility for providing, maintaining, and enhancing comprehensive accounting and financial reporting systems and procedures for Company in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles.
  • Identifies legal requirements and government reporting regulations affecting financial functions and ensures policies, procedures, and reporting are in compliance.
  • Responsibility for the coordination and completion of the annual financial statement audit of the Company.
  • Leads team to ensure all legal entity reporting and consolidation reporting is completed timely and in accordance with all reporting requirements.
  • Responsibility for developing the staff needed to meet the accounting team requirements of the company currently and in the future.
  • Supports other members of the finance and accounting team as directed by the Corporate Controller.

Perform various other duties required by Corporate Controller or CFO.

Education & Experience:

Minimum Required:
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business, or finance, including significant accounting coursework.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting
Strong knowledge of GAAP
Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office
Preferred:
CPA or MBA
Experience in a manufacturing environment
Experience managing a team of 5+ individuals.

Physical Demands & Work Environment:

Work is performed in an office environment. This role will routinely utilize standard office equipment to perform the core functions listed in this job description. This position requires the ability to occasionally lift office products and supplies as well as communicate verbally and electronically. The work is primarily sedentary and requires extensive reading to perform the core functions listed in this job description.

Travel

Up to 3 weeks of travel per year.
