Wonderful Citrus is seeking a strategic and detail-oriented Jr Accounting Manager to lead the accounting function for import operations. This role will oversee the Import Accounting team, ensuring accurate financial reporting, compliance with accounting and tax regulations, and strong internal controls related to import transactions.

Here’s what you’ll do:

  • Lead and supervise the Import Accounting team, ensuring compliance with accounting policies and internal procedures.
  • Oversee the accurate recording and reconciliation of all import-related costs, including duties, freight, broker fees, and inventory valuation.
  • Manage month-end close activities related to import transactions, accruals, reconciliations, and cost allocations.
  • Review and approve account reconciliations, journal entries, and supporting documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with local, federal, and international trade regulations as they relate to financial reporting and tax obligations.
  • Strengthen internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure financial accuracy.
  • Partner with Supply Chain, Logistics, and Operations teams to resolve discrepancies in quantities, costs, and timing.
  • Support internal and external audits by ensuring documentation accuracy and readiness.
  • Monitor key import cost trends, variances, and financial performance indicators.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to optimize import accounting workflows and reporting efficiency.

Qualifications

Here’s what you’ll bring to the table:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • At least 3–5 years of accounting experience, including leadership exposure.
  • Experience in import accounting, logistics, landed cost accounting, or supply chain finance preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP, inventory accounting, accruals, and cost allocation principles.
  • Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, advanced formulas, financial analysis).
  • Experience with ERP systems (Oracle, SAP, Fusion, or similar).
  • Strong analytical mindset and attention to detail.
  • Ability to lead teams, prioritize multiple deadlines, and work cross-functionally.
  • Advanced English proficiency (written and verbal)
