Job Description

The internship will support the accounting team in the duties below.

GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF POSITION
This position is responsible for processing standard accounting transactions. Compute and record numerical data to complete financial records. Assist in accounts receivable and payables process with data collection and entry. Match invoices to source documents, verify expenses, and record payable and expense information in computerized accounting system. File invoices. Locate and notify customers of delinquent accounts to solicit payment. Duties include receive payment and posting amount to customer's account; prepare aging reports; request customers for on-hold shipment; keep records of collection and status of accounts. Prepare standard reports.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Collect resale certificates and verify accuracy.

  2. Compile and maintain accounting documents and records.

  3. Check figures, compile data and prepare a variety of reports.

  4. Match monthly credit card expense and enter into system.

  5. Reconcile payments and enter into system.

  6. Contact and obtain w-9 from supplier.

  7. Upload invoice to customer portal.

  8. Assist with billing and credit references.

  9. Assist with other projects as needed.

  10. Collect/Compile Mileage Report data.

  11. Collections.

  12. Process customer credit card payments.

Perform any other related duties as required or assigned.
