What will you do?
As an Accounting & Procurement Intern you will report to the Accounting Manager and support the day-to-day operations of our Finance and Procurement teams. This is a hands-on role where you'll work alongside experienced accounting professionals, gain exposure to the full AP cycle, and contribute to real work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. Strong performers may have the opportunity to continue in a part-time capacity during the school year.
Essential Job Functions:
· Assist with receiving, reviewing, and entering vendor invoices into the accounting system
· Support creation of purchase orders for service vendors and help process two-way match invoices
· Assist with weekly check run preparation and payment entry, including ACH and remittance documentation
· Help monitor the Accounting inbox and support responses to vendor inquiries
· Assist with vendor statement reconciliations and credit card transaction entry
· Support the purchasing team with PO tracking, receipt reconciliation, and vendor coordination
· Assist with small projects and process documentation tasks as assigned
Location
Position is based on site in San Diego, CA with a hybrid schedule.*
*The hybrid work arrangement is subject to change based on business needs including but not limited to training, performance, or other operational requirements. Any physical location change may impact future employment.
What are we looking for?
Quartus is looking for aspiring individuals who want to make a difference in the world and in themselves. Our ideal internship candidates are:
· Juniors, or Seniors currently enrolled at a four-year institution
· Majoring in an Accounting or related field
· Proactive, open-minded, eager to learn and willing to work hard as part of a team
· Understanding of basic accounting principles and accounts payable processes.
· High accuracy in data entry and mathematical calculations
· Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel
· Available full time for specified term (40 hours per week)
· Must be a US Person (US Citizen or US Permanent Resident)
Compensation and Benefits
Intern pay range for students pursuing a Bachelor's degree: $22.00 - 26.00/hour*
*This range represents base pay. In addition, you may be eligible for additional benefits and compensation.
