Accounting Internship jobs are excellent ways to gain practical experience in the world of accounting and auditing. It offers a way with which you can determine your future specialization.

Accounting Intern Schedule: May 2026 - May 2027

Hours: Up to 15 hours per week

Minimum Requirements:

  • Currently enrolled in a college or university.

  • Candidate must be pursuing a degree in accounting or related degree and have a GPA of 3.0 or better.

Preferred Skills:

  • Self- motivated with a high level of initiative, able to work independently and possibly virtually. Good problem-solving skills.

  • Experience working with or in a structured process.

  • High Microsoft Excel proficiency

  • Good communication, presentation, and team skills.

  • Good organizational and time management skills.

  • Strong oral and written communication skills.

  • Strong data analysis and reporting skills.

  • Attention to detail.

  • Be able to prioritize and multitask the weekly reporting

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform inventory costing roll up

  • Monitor inventory and investigate unusual items in inventory

  • Monitor and review job cost study data and investigate/correct unusual items

  • Assist Plant Controller in meeting plant objectives

  • Assist with the monthly financial closing process

  • Maintenance of general ledger and account reconciliations

  • Communicate effectively with all levels of plant and administrative associates
