The Accounting Innovation Manager is a leadership role responsible for overseeing accounting operations while driving innovation and transformation across accounting and finance. This position manages a team of accounting professionals, ensures accurate and compliant financial reporting, and leads initiatives to modernize processes through automation, AI, and continuous improvement. The role partners closely with finance leadership, IT, and business stakeholders to strengthen financial integrity and position the organization for future growth.
Duties & Responsibilities
• Oversee accurate and timely financial reporting and close processes
• Manage cash flow, budgeting, and financial planning activities
• Supervise, train, and develop accounting staff
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and internal controls
• Lead process improvement, automation, and AI-enabled initiatives
• Coordinate audits and regulatory reporting
• Analyze financial results and communicate insights to leadership

Qualifications
Education & Training
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business required
• Five or more years of progressive accounting experience
• Prior supervisory or management experience preferred
• Training or experience in process improvement, automation, or analytics a plus
Knowledge & Skills
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and compliance
• Experience managing accounting teams and workflows
• Proficiency with accounting, ERP, and reporting systems
• Understanding of process improvement, change management, and automation concepts
• Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving skills
• Ability to lead innovation, manage change, and influence stakeholders
• Strong communication, organization, and leadership abilities
