We're looking to hire an Accounting & Finance Associate to join our Commercial Team and work closely on projects across MASE’s asset portfolio located in Jordan and UAE. MASE is a leading integrated player in the regional solar photovoltaic market focused on O&M and Asset Management. As Accounting & Finance Associate you will be responsible for

• Verifying, allocating, posting and reconciling accounts payable and receivable
• Producing error-free accounting reports and present their results
• Analyzing financial information and summarizing financial status

You will report to the Commercial Lead.

Your main tasks and responsibilities are:

1. Verify, allocate, post and reconcile accounts payable and receivable
2. Produce error-free accounting reports and present their results
3. Analyse financial information and summarize financial status
4. Spot errors and suggest ways to improve efficiency and spending
5. Review and recommend modifications to accounting systems and procedures
6. Participate in financial standards setting and in forecast process
7. Provide input into commercial team’s goal setting process
8. Prepare financial statements and produce budget according to schedule
9. Assist with tax audits and tax returns
10. Liaise with internal and external audits to ensure compliance
11. Support month-end and year-end close process
12. Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls
13. Ensure compliance with relevant local and international principles
14. Liaise with our Commercial Lead to improve financial procedures
15. Assist in the development of short, medium and long-term forecasts and commercial strategies;
16. Support the Asset Management in their external finance and accounting-related reporting to external stakeholders (e.g. to the Board, Shareholders, Lenders and their advisors, regulators and utility).

Your preferred skillset is:

Professional

• Degree in Finance and/or Accounting, or similar;
• Preferably experience and background with SAP and/or similar accounting systems;
• Experience with data mining techniques and application of statistical principles is an advantage;
• Fluent in Arabic and English, spoken and written (additional languages plus).

• Strong analytical and methodical skills, able to handle complex systems, calculations and argumentations;
• Organized, structured and able to formulate complex technical and commercial issues in a form available to non-experts;
• Assertive and organizationally skilled, able to operate in dynamic, multi-location working environment, a team player able to work under pressure.
