Job Title: Accounting Close – Cost Close, Associate

Location: Manila

Corporate Title Associate

We are seeking a highly motivated Cost Validation and Reporting Associate to strengthen our cost analysis and reporting capabilities. This role combines strong finance and accounting fundamentals with automation and data intelligence to drive efficiency, accuracy, and insight.

The successful candidate will perform core finance activities—including cost calculations, variance analysis, analytical reviews, and financial reporting—while actively contributing to the development of automated, scalable solutions. A strong interest or experience in leveraging Python, Microsoft Power Platform, and AI‑enabled tools (e.g., Copilot‑like capabilities) is essential to enhance expense analysis, streamline reporting, and produce standardized, value‑adding commentaries.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform end‑to‑end cost analysis, accounting, reconciliations, balance sheet substantiation, and financial reporting in line with the Global Accounting Framework
  • Review month‑end close activities, including late adjustments, and perform root‑cause analysis to resolve cost‑related issues
  • Design and implement automation solutions using Python, Microsoft Power Platform, and AI‑enabled tools (e.g., Copilot‑like capabilities) to enhance expense analysis and generate standardized cost commentary
  • Identify and automate manual, repetitive processes to improve efficiency, accuracy, and scalability
  • Collaborate with stakeholders and cross‑functional teams to support end‑to‑end operations and change initiatives
  • Provide guidance and support to team members and maintain clear documentation for financial and automated processes

Skills and Qualifications

  • Cost & Financial Analysis: Strong foundation in cost accounting, variance analysis, and expense-focused financial reporting; able to analyze complex data and generate actionable insights.
  • Data & Digital Enablement: Foundational knowledge of programming (e.g., Python), database concepts (SQL a plus), and exposure to Microsoft Power Platform to support data processing and process automation.
  • Quality & Control Mindset: High attention to detail with rigor in documentation, data integrity, and accuracy of financial outputs.
  • Communication & Collaboration: Clear, effective communicator able to translate technical and financial concepts for diverse stakeholders; works well independently and in team-based environments.
  • Professional & Business Acumen: Demonstrates professionalism, integrity, adaptability, and a results-driven mindset, with strong commercial awareness, compliance focus, and commitment to value creation.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in accountancy or an equivalent business-related field, with demonstrated grounding in accounting fundamentals.
  • Experience: 4–6 years of relevant professional experience, preferably within finance or analytical roles.
