The Cooperative Grading Service, a trusted partnership between the USDA and the North Carolina Department of Agriculture, plays a vital role in supporting the state’s fruit, vegetable, and peanut industries. By providing fair, consistent, and impartial grading services, we help producers and buyers confidently buy, sell, trade, and settle transactions across North Carolina.

We are seeking a detail oriented and highly organized Office Manager to support and oversee the daily business operations of our Williamston, NC location. In this key role, you’ll help ensure the smooth and efficient functioning of our office, contribute to the success of our service programs, and play an important part in supporting agricultural commerce across the state.

Knowledge Skills and Abilities/Management Preferences

Recruitment Range: $39,244 - $48,000

  • Knowledge of accounting methods and procedures to include accounts payable/receivable.

  • Knowledge of Microsoft office programs such as Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.

  • Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines with close attention to detail.

  • Ability to handle highly sensitive employee, executive, and financial information without compromising privacy/confidentiality.

  • Ability to communicate professionally in both oral and written forms effectively with the public, personnel and industry.

High school diploma or General Educational Development (GED) diploma and two years of related administrative experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
