Accounting Clerk
Position Type: Part-Time, Seasonal
Location: Hillsborough, NC
Job Purpose
We are seeking an Accounting Clerk to provide support to our Accounting department on a temporary basis. This is a part-time position and is expected to last 3-4 months.
We are seeking a dynamic, hard-working professional with a strong focus on customer service and a desire to work for a fast-paced, entrepreneurial organization. In addition to exceptional leadership and analytical skills, you must have a “roll-up your sleeves” attitude.
Responsibilities
• Data entry of invoices and other accounting record keeping
• Accounts Payable (AP) invoice posting
• Purchase Order (PO) analysis
• Support other accounting-related administrative tasks and projects as assigned
Minimum Requirements
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Previous data entry experience required. Accounting experience is preferred but not required.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs.
• Candidate will possess a team spirit attitude and demonstrate excellent organizational, communication, and math skills.
• Must possess the ability to work independently with little supervision alongside of managing monthly workflow duties along with additional projects as necessary.
• Demonstrate substantial analytical skills – ability to troubleshoot problems, complete proper research and develop, analyze, and recommend solutions.
• Proven track record for excellent attendance and reliability.
• Acute attention to detail and PO analysis/troubleshooting.
