Description

you. We are a state-of-the-art 100-bed long-term care nursing facility for individuals with mental illness or
intellectual disabilities. We are seeking an Accounting Clerk I, for our team in a caring and improving the
daily lives of our residents.

A COVID19 vaccination is recommended for this position.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Performs beginning level technical work in the maintenance of accounting and financial records.
  • Processes and prepares financial information related to purchasing and procurement in the EMARS -Electronic Management Administrative and Reporting System computer program.
  • Posts, balances and reconciles financial accounting records either manually or by computerized data processing methods.
  • Processes other financial reporting information and inventory records as required.
  • Processing information in the accounts payable process which may include computer data entry, copying information, filing information.
  • Corrects and maintains proper accounting information and works with other office staff and facility staff in coordination the process.
  • Covers dock for breaks, lunch, and PRN as necessary. Serves as Investigator on call after completing appropriate training.
  • Other tasks as assigned by supervisor or required by the position

Minimum Requirements
EDUCATION:
High school graduate.

EXPERIENCE, TRAINING, OR SKILLS:
Two years of accounting, bookkeeping, or fiscal clerical experience.

Substitute EDUCATION for EXPERIENCE:
Additional education in accounting, business administration, business education, office administration, or a related field will substitute for the required experience on a year-for-year basis OR Kentucky Community and Technical College System (KCTCS) Certification in Accounting or KCTCS Certification as an Accounting Recordkeeping Specialist will substitute for the required experience.

Substitute EXPERIENCE for EDUCATION:
Additional accounting, bookkeeping, or fiscal clerical experience will substitute for the required education on a year-for-year basis.

Probationary Period

This job has an initial and promotional probationary period of 6 months, except as provided in KRS 18A.111.
