The Accounting Clerk I - Associate is responsible for verifying accuracy, coding, and entering invoices into the Accounts Receivable in a timely and efficient manner.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

  • Support in financial, accounting and tax tasks.
  • Assist in bank and other account reconciliations.
  • Billing support.
  • Assist in processing and verifying import documents
  • Organize physical and electronic files.
  • Check the supplier's invoices with the purchase order and the receipt record transaction in the ERP system.
  • Ensuring compliance with internal and external controls, including IRS, Sarbanes-Oxley and Sales Tax of the relevant States.
  • Assist in accounts payable and supplier audit projects.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

EDUCATION / CERTIFICATIONS

  • Post high school accounting education desirable.
  • Experience with Oracle, ERP system desirable and knowledge of preparing invoices.

EXPERIENCE:

  • 2+ years related work experience.
  • Three way matching of electronic invoicing desirable.
  • Skills/Abilities/Competencies
  • Strong math skills.
  • Detail oriented and ability to work well within a deadline driven environment.
  • Exhibit skills in researching and resolving exception items.
  • Ability to influence peers and others across organizational boundaries.
  • Perform functions efficiently and accurately with minimal supervision.
  • Excel spreadsheet and Word proficiency.

LANGUAGE SKILLS:

  • Ability to read and communicate with all aspects of the organization, freight companies and local vendors.
  • Communication skills (written, verbal and presentation) in Portuguese
  • Basic communication skills (written, verbal and presentation) in English

The base pay range for this position is listed below, exclusive of fringe benefits or other compensation. If you are hired, your final base hourly rate will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, skills, competencies, education, and/or experience. In addition to those factors, we will also consider internal equity of our current employees. Please keep in mind that the range provided is the full base salary range for the role. Hiring at or near the maximum of the range would not be typical to allow for future and continued salary growth.
