TITLE: Accounting Clerk

POSITION OBJECTIVE: Experienced Accounting Clerk to perform the general duties of accounts payable and accounts receivable.

QUALIFICATIONS:
• Previous experience in accounts payable and accounts receivable.
• Good communication skills both inter-office and customer base.
• Computer experience working with Microsoft Office, Outlook, and Excel.
• Experience preferred in AS400.
• Ability to work both independently and on a team.
• Ensure consistent, dependable attendance and demonstrate a willingness to accommodate non-standard work hours as necessary.
• Capable of effectively managing job-related stress and fostering productive workplace interactions.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Accounts Receivables:
◦ Investigate and identify deductions taken by customers.
◦ Maintain a good working relationship with the customer to ensure resolution in requesting credits and resolving any problems.
◦ Generate, document, and produce credit memos.
◦ Process checks for bank deposits and applies cash daily.
• Accounts Payable:
◦ Match vendor invoice to purchase order and receiving receipt.
◦ Process vendor invoices for payment
◦ Prepare and run checks weekly.
◦ Complete and maintain all required paperwork, records, documents, etc.

WORK ENVIRONMENT CONDITIONS SUBJECTED TO IN THIS POSITION:
• Follow and comply with all safety and work rules and regulations. Maintain departmental housekeeping standards.
• Office environment Monday – Friday 8am to 5pm.

TRAINING:
• Must complete all ongoing training as required.
