Job Description

Transdev in Tulare, CA  is hiring an  Accounting Clerk The  Accounting Clerk assists the General Manager in all aspects of the daily payroll functions.  We are seeking customer service-oriented professionals who are dedicated to safety.  Transdev is proud to offer: Non-CBA Position:  
   
  1. Competitive compensation package of minimum $20.00 / hour
Benefits include:  
  1. Vacation: minimum of two (2) weeks   
  1. Sick days: 5 days  
  1. Holidays:  12 days; 8 standard and 4 floating

Key Responsibilities:   
  1. Process new employee files & records and  submit them to the General Manager for approval;  submit appropriate paperwork to the regional accounting office.  
  1. Calculate & input driver & staff payroll into system for processing.  
  1. Track attendance for part-time employees   
  1. Responsible for fare reconciliation  and deposits  
  1. Assist General Manager in accurately tracking overtime to reduce and  eliminate unnecessary and/or  additional punch hours.  
  1. Other duties as  required 
  Qualifications   
  1. High School Diploma or GED.  
  1. Excellent oral and written communication skills.  
  1. Ability to multi-task and work in fast paced environment.  
  1. Computer literacy, 10 Key, Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint   
  1. Must be able to work shifts or flexible work schedules as needed.  
  1. Subject to  DOT drug testing and physical if applicable. DOT Regulation 49 CFR Part 40 does not authorize the use of Schedule I drugs, including cannabis, for any reason 
  Physical Requirements:   
  
The essential functions of this position require the ability to:  
  1. Work outside in varying temperature, weather, and humidity conditions-100% of the job is performed outside, work  alone, and in remote locations   
  1. Sit for extended periods (up to 6–8 hours per day);  frequently walk for long distances and on possible sloped ground or slippery and uneven surfaces  
  1. Push and pull objects up to  XX pounds, occasionally throughout the workday; lift material weighing up to 50 lbs. with or without  assistance; occasionally bend, kneel, or crouch to files or equipment stored at ground level  
  1. Withstand heavy traffic areas while performing the duties of the job; tolerate exposure to considerable amounts of dust, vehicle  fumes and  noise
