Title: Accounting Clerk

Established for over 50 years, Yamazen Inc. is a leading importer and distributor of quality CNC manufacturing machinery, including machine tools and injection molding machines. We service manufacturers in the automotive, aerospace, construction equipment, medical, and I.T. industries.

The Accounting Clerk is responsible for supporting daily accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, credit, and collections activities. This role ensures timely and accurate processing of financial transactions, maintains organized accounting records, and provides administrative support to the Accounting Manager and department staff. The Accounting Clerk will also interact with internal teams, vendors, and customers to resolve inquiries, process payments, and assist in collections efforts while maintaining professional and courteous communications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process accounts payable invoices, match purchase orders, and prepare payments.
  • Post customer payments, apply cash receipts, and reconcile account balances.
  • Generate invoices and statements for customers in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Monitor accounts receivable to identify overdue balances and assist in credit and collection activities.
  • Make collection calls or send correspondence to customers regarding outstanding payments; document and escalate issues as needed.
  • Maintain accurate electronic and paper files for customer accounts, vendor records, and financial transactions.
  • Prepare and reconcile daily, weekly, or monthly accounting reports.
  • Research and resolve invoice discrepancies with vendors and customers.
  • Support month-end closing activities, including journal entries, reconciliations, and reporting.
  • Perform other related duties and special projects as assigned by the Accounting Manager.



Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree in Accounting or Business preferred.
  • 1–3 years of experience in accounting, bookkeeping, or related office work.
  • Familiarity with accounts payable, accounts receivable, credit, and collections processes.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook); ERP or accounting system experience preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
  • Professional and courteous demeanor in handling vendor and customer interactions.

Compensation and Benefits:

Range: $43-63k
