Are you detail-oriented, trustworthy, and passionate about providing accurate financial support? We are looking for a Cashier to join our Finance team. In this role, you will play a vital part in ensuring the accurate handling of cash transactions, maintaining financial records, and supporting daily business operations.
Responsibilities:
Handling cash payout requests by verifying authorizations and supporting documentation before disbursing funds.
Processing cash exchange requests for guests, team members, and operational needs while applying the correct exchange rates.
Performing daily cash counts, balancing tills, and completing end-of-day reconciliations.
Investigating and reporting any cash discrepancies promptly to the Head Cashier.
Processing agent sales settlements and verifying commission documentation according to company procedures.
Preparing and verifying bank deposits, ensuring all cash is accurately counted, documented, and submitted on time.
Preparing daily cashier reports and submitting them accurately to the Accounting Department.
Maintaining organized and complete cashier documentation, including cash sheets, payout forms, exchange logs, and deposit records.
Following all company cash handling policies and internal control procedures.
Assisting with other cashier and finance-related responsibilities as assigned by the Head Cashier or Assistant Financial Controller.
Key Qualifications:
MBO or Associate Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
Equivalent relevant work experience will also be considered.
Minimum of 1β2 years of experience in a cashier, revenue handling, or similar financial role.
Experience within hospitality, tourism, or retail is considered an advantage.
Fluent in English (required) Knowledge of Dutch and/or Papiamento is an advantage.
Skills:
Strong numerical and analytical skills with excellent attention to detail.
Honest, reliable, and able to handle cash with integrity.
Experience with POS systems and basic accounting software.
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Good communication and organizational skills.
