The Role:
The Accounting & Business Analyst provides analytical insights to drive informed business decisions, operates cross-functionally to support the subscription workflow and related project-based activities, and is responsible for supporting core general accounting functions.

What You Get To Do Everyday:

Accounting

  • Support timely monthly, half-year, and year-end financial close, including assigned journal entries, balance sheet account reconciliations, accruals, and overall maintenance of assigned general ledger accounts; as well as performing trend/variance analysis and providing commentary on assigned accounts.
  • Perform daily and monthly reconciliations of all bank accounts globally, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timely resolution of variances.
  • Perform various assigned tasks related to the company’s credit card program and expense reporting tool, including reconciling data exports and ensuring completeness and financial accuracy.
  • Prepare and review US sales & use tax filings, foreign GST/VAT tax filings, and prepare related account reconciliations.
  • Research accounting issues for compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and other regulations.
  • Participate in the annual audit and half-year review, including creating work papers, cross-departmental coordination, monitoring key controls, and creating financial reports, as assigned.
  • Perform various internal audit responsibilities as assigned, including cross-departmental coordination, internal control review and assessment, and identification of areas for improvement.

Finance:

  • Assist with month‑end accruals for Technology Services, Marketing, and other departments by partnering with stakeholders to ensure expenses are accurately captured and reported.
  • Support variance and key performance indicator (KPI) analysis by preparing reports, investigating fluctuations, and escalating insights to Finance team members and partners.
  • Support various cross-functional and cross-departmental projects related to operating efficiency and financial reporting improvements.
  • Assist with various financial and regulatory reporting and compliance requirements.

Subscription:

  • Manage subscription schedules, including creation, modification, and termination, ensuring accuracy in billing, revenue recognition, and system records.
  • Review and process subscription staging table entries, ensuring data accuracy and escalating discrepancies as needed.
  • Collaborate with the Customer Care team and other departments to research and resolve customer inquiries through service ticket workflows.
  • Process mass subscription transactions, ensuring accurate setup, updates, and data integrity across systems.
  • Participate and lead other various subscription-based projects, providing scoping, status, and resolution updates to leadership.

General:

  • Maintain, document, improve, and create processes to increase operating efficiencies.
  • Leverage internal systems to support operational processes and maintain accurate documentation.
  • Participate in the annual budgeting process, as needed.
  • Perform other position-related duties as assigned.

You Need to Have:

  • Associate’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field
  • Two years or more of work experience in accounting or finance
  • Knowledge of accounting and financial processes (financial closure, tax, fixed assets, reporting, etc.)
  • Proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and organize efficiently
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Strong analytical and technological skills
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Accountability for work produced
  • Positive attitude, high-energy
  • Well-developed interpersonal skills

We'd Love to See:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field
  • Audit or public accounting experience
  • Knowledge of sales tax filings and compliance requirements
  • Experience working with general ledger (GL) software, Microsoft Dynamics Finance & Operations (FO), and Microsoft Suite
