
Lafrance Hospitality is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Accounting Associate to join our accounting team at the Corporate Office. The successful candidate will assist with day-to-day accounting operations, financial reporting, account reconciliations, and month-end close activities while working closely with experienced finance professionals.
Requirements
· Prepare and record journal entries accurately and timely.
· Assist with monthly, and annual financial close processes.
· Perform bank, credit card, and general ledger account reconciliations.
· Maintain fixed asset, prepaid expense, and accrued expense schedules.
· Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable activities as needed.
· Analyze account balances and investigate discrepancies.
· Prepare supporting schedules for financial statements and audits.
· Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes.
· Support external auditors, tax preparers, and regulatory reporting requirements.
· Maintain organized accounting records and documentation.
· Participate in process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and internal controls.
· Perform other accounting and finance-related duties as assigned.
Required:
· Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a closely related business field.
· Strong understanding of basic accounting principles and financial reporting concepts.
· Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including formulas, sorting, filtering, and data analysis.
· Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
· Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
· Effective verbal and written communication skills.
· Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
Preferred:
· Internship, co-op, or up to two years of accounting experience.
· Experience with accounting software or ERP systems.
· Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
$23-26/hour to start.
