We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Accounting Associate to support our accounting team with daily financial operations and month-end close activities. This role is ideal for an early-career accounting professional looking to build a strong foundation in corporate accounting and gain exposure to core financial processes.

Principal Responsibilities:

• Assist with day-to-day accounting operations, including transaction processing and data entry
• Prepare and post journal entries with appropriate documentation
• Support month-end and year-end close processes
• Perform account reconciliations, including bank and balance sheet accounts
• Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable tasks
• Maintain accurate and organized financial records and supporting schedules
• Help prepare basic financial reports and analyses for internal use
• Assist with audit requests by gathering documentation and responding to inquiries
• Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting procedures
• Identify discrepancies and escalate issues to senior accounting staff
• Support ad-hoc accounting projects as assigned

Qualifications:

• 2-3 years of accounting experience or AA Degree, including internships or entry-level roles
• Basic understanding of GAAP and general ledger accounting
• Familiarity with financial statements and reconciliations
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (basic formulas and data organization)
• Experience or exposure to accounting software or ERP systems preferred
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Good organizational and time-management skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
