Reporting to: Accounting Manager

Accounting Associate

In this role, you will play a vital part in our finance department by ensuring the accuracy of financial reporting and the integrity of our accounting data. Join our team to manage essential month-end processes and provide detailed analysis necessary to support our company's fiscal health and compliance.

Position:

As an Accounting Associate, you will:

• Prepare, post, and review General Ledger entries, including provisions, accruals, and deferred expenses, ensuring all supporting documentation meets applicable standards.

• Lead month-end and year-end closing activities to ensure timely deliverables, performing detailed Balance Sheet and P&L analysis.

• Maintain accurate reconciliations with clear explanations for any variances; manage intercompany transactions and reconciliations.

• Oversee core Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) processes to ensure smooth financial operations.

• Work effectively with stakeholders across the organization to meet tight deadlines and maintain financial accuracy.

Requirements:

• Higher education in Accounting or a similar field.

• Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar position, including experience in Accounts Payable (AP) and/or Accounts Receivable (AR) processes.

• Experience with Bulgarian tax legislation is desirable, including: Corporate Income Tax (CIT) and Value Added Tax (VAT).

• Solid understanding of Local GAAP and IFRS.

• Experience with accounting ERP systems is a plus, such as: Navision / MS Dynamics, SAP.

• Good working knowledge of MS Office (especially Excel).

• Working level of Bulgarian and English (written and spoken).

• Proactive, detail-oriented, and a strong team player.

• Able to manage tight deadlines and work effectively with cross-functional stakeholders.
