Accounting Assistant

Location: Los Angeles, California

Pay Rate: $28.00 per hour

Position Overview

A global beauty and personal care company seeks an Accounting Assistant for a four-month hybrid contract in Los Angeles, California. This role supports the finance team with day-to-day accounting operations and reporting.

Key Responsibilities

• Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions accurately and on time
• Perform account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies
• Assist with month-end and quarter-end close activities
• Maintain organized financial records and supporting documentation
• Prepare routine financial reports and data summaries for management
• Coordinate with vendors and internal departments to resolve billing issues

Requirements

• 1–3 years of accounting or finance support experience
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software
• Strong attention to detail and numerical accuracy
• Ability to work in a hybrid environment based in Los Angeles

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with SAP, Oracle, or similar ERP systems
• Background in consumer goods or retail industry
• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field
