Are you detail‑oriented, organized, and energized by supporting financial operations that truly matter? We’re looking for an Accounting Assistant to join our Finance team and help drive accuracy, efficiency, and reliability across our organization’s financial systems.
This position is a part-time position, 20 hours per week.
About the Role
As an Accounting Assistant, you’ll play a key part in ensuring smooth daily financial operations. From supporting journal entry posting to assisting with accounts receivable, accounts payable, and cash management, you’ll help maintain accurate financial data and timely reporting across multiple programs.
You’ll work closely with the Accounting Manager and other finance staff while also interacting with internal departments and occasionally supporting Rep Payee accounting processes.
What You’ll Do
- Review, code, and post daily journal entries
- Post daily ACH transactions into Sage Intacct
- Prepare recurring month‑end entries
- Monitor the cash management system daily
- Upload bank files and reconcile transactions
- Serve as secondary backup for Rep Payee cash processes
- Create and send invoices
- Post payments and reconcile A/R accounts
- Follow up on outstanding balances
- Assist with check runs
- Reconcile A/P to the General Ledger after each run

Qualifications:
- Associate’s degree with accounting coursework and 2+ years of accounting/bookkeeping experience preferred OR 4+ years of accounting/bookkeeping experience in lieu of degree
- Strong understanding of core accounting functions
- Proficiency with computerized accounting systems (Sage Intacct a plus)
- High accuracy and ability to manage high‑volume transactions
- Proficiency in Microsoft 365
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively
