International Airport of Heraklion, Crete S.A. is currently looking for a:

Accounting and Tax Supervisor

Responsibilities:

• Leads the preparation of monthly, quarterly, semiannual and annual financial statements in accordance with IFRS.
• Oversees the month-end and year-end close processes ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.
• Ensures integrity of the General Ledger and Trial Balance.
• Coordinates with external auditors to manage annual audits and ensures compliance with regulatory standards.
• Develops and maintains robust internal controls over financial reporting (Cost Centers, Cost Drivers, ABC costing processes).
• Monitors Fixed Assets Register and Fixed Assets Inventory.
• Applies Cost Accounting principles for several aspects of cost allocation activities
• Ensures timely preparation, review and submission of all corporate Tax statements
• Coordinates with external tax consultants and advisors
• Oversees withholding tax compliance, documentation and implementation.
• Stays updated with tax laws and regulations and applies all changes promptly
• Manages tax provision processes
• Leads and develops a high-performing team of accounting and tax experts.
• Drives process improvements, automation and system upgrades to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
• Provides insights and recommendations for budgeting, forecasting and long-term planning.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field will be preferred
• Min 10 years of relevant experience, with at least 5 years in managerial capacity.
• ACCA is required.
• Strong knowledge of accounting standards (IFRS) and tax laws.
• Experience with ERP systems (SAP is preferable)
• Excellent knowledge of English language, both oral and written
• Strong Excel skills.
