Position

The Accounting and Financial Analyst is critical to supporting the Venture Boat Group (VBG) North American finance and senior leadership teams, helping to managea~$80M+ revenue business for our Bayliner and Heyday product linesThe position willassistin financial oversight of the two brands including both monthly / quarterly close accounting activities, and commercial, operations activity support,forecastsand budgets. This will report to the Manager, FP&A andbe a key thought partner of various functional management teamsThis person would bring financial acumen, thoughtpartnershipand be able to grow into future leadership roles.

EssentialFunctions

  • Perform monthly closing activities, ensuring accuracy of month end results and compliance with all internal and external deadlines.

  • Process inter-company transactions and confirm related balances for domestic and global business partners. Research and resolve related variances.

  • Complete variance analysis and provide management with ad hoc reports as requested.

  • Compile and analyze financial information to prepare journal entries, complete assigned reconciliations of general ledgeraccountsand prepare financial reports.

  • Utilize U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (U.S. GAAP) to ensure compliance with regulatory reporting requirements and internal controls.

  • Prepare various fiscal reports for the division including income statement, balance sheet, and cash flow statements.

  • Participate in monthly and quarterly financial close processes including thesalesflash, journal entries, reconciliations, and judgmental reserve preparationParticipate in thepost closeprocesses such as monthly reconciliations.

  • Work with brand leadership on key initiatives and performance trackingPartner with commercial, operations, and finance teams.

  • Maintain reporting such as retail and pipeline in support of monthly internal VBG,BBGand BC reviews.

  • Prepare ad-hoc analysis for the VBG organization.

  • Develop andmaintainsystems of internal controls to safeguard financial assetsParticipate in audits.

  • Effectivelyestablishespriorities and manages multiple responsibilities, such as businessteamand finance deliverables andadheringto corporate timelines.

  • Problem-solving ability to analyze results,identifyopportunitiesand create solutions.

  • Actively test business processes, procedures and controls and provide recommendations to make improvements.

  • Periodicallyassistthe BBG FP&A team on select reporting and tasks

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance

  • One to three years offinanceexperience, preferably in a manufacturing or brand environment.

  • Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and Cost Accounting.

  • Ability to manage and analyzelarge amountsof data using Excel or Power BI.

  • Proficient with MS Office, specifically Excel and PowerPoint.

  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret financial reports.

  • Strong communications and ability to concisely build a narrative for management, public groups, peers, and staff.

  • Must be a willing partner to the senior leadership team and be able torepresentthe finance function while supporting the overall priorities of the business.

  • Mustdemonstratethe highest standards of personal and professional integrity andcharacter, andpromote ethical business behavior throughout the organization.

  • Flexible and self-starter; able to multi-task while also being detail oriented and manage tight deadlines

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Oracle, EPM, and BusinessObjectsERP software platforms.

Working Conditions:

  • Hybrid (in the office 2-3x per week)

The hiring range for this position is $59,000 to $85,000 annually. The actual base pay offered will vary based on multiple factors including job-related knowledge/skills, relevant experience, business needs, and geographic location. Compensation decisions are dependent upon the specifics of the candidate’s qualifications and the business context.

In addition to base pay, this position is eligible for an annual discretionary bonus.
