Focusing on the insurance business, the Accounting and Finance Intern would be assisting with all aspects of the accounting and reporting and the preparation of various components of the company’s financial reporting packages based on US GAAP and Statutory requirements. The accounting and reporting responsibilities of the role include balance sheet account reconciliations, month-end general ledger close procedures, and SOX compliance related activities. Key functions will include but are not limited to:
Basic understanding of accounting principles and terms.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
Good organizational and time management skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Excellent communication skills.
