We are currently looking for an Accounting Analyst II/III/SR for our Houston, TX location.

Responsible for the invoicing of our natural gas pipelines. Ensure accuracy of billing pipeline transactions based on the terms and conditions stated in our pipelines’ Tariff and customer contracts. This includes analysis of system data, resolving contractual issues, gas management system issues and other tasks to complete the monthly close process.

Analyst will work closely with diverse internal groups, including Marketing, Customer Service, Contracts, Legal, Revenue Accounting, and Gas Accounting. This position requires the ability to multitask, resolve issues, work independently, and assist with special projects as needed.

REQUIRED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND EXPERIENCE:

• Strong analytical skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to independently analyze, problem solve and work through detailed information.
• Experience in contract review and interpretation
• Demonstrate ability to make processes more efficient

PREFERRED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND EXPERIENCE:

• Prior pipeline experience with Invoicing/Billing
• Understanding of FERC tariff’s
• 3 plus years in Natural Gas Industry
• Experience in accounting or analytical role
• Experience in project design, analysis, testing and training for transactional systems

REQUIRED EDUCATION:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field
