Accounting AI Intern
We are looking for a forward-thinking and detail-oriented Accounting AI Intern to support our finance team in leveraging artificial intelligence (AI) and automation technologies. This role blends foundational accounting knowledge with emerging digital tools, offering hands-on experience in modernizing finance processes, improving reporting accuracy, and enhancing operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in identifying opportunities to automate accounting processes such as reconciliations, journal entries, and financial reporting
• Support the implementation and testing of AI-driven tools for finance and accounting workflows
• Analyze financial data using AI and analytics tools to generate insights and support decision-making
• Document existing accounting processes and recommend improvements through automation and AI solutions
• Assist in developing dashboards and reports using data visualization tools
• Support data cleaning, validation, and preparation for analytics and AI applications
• Collaborate with accounting and IT teams on system enhancements and integrations
• Research emerging AI tools, trends, and best practices relevant to finance and accounting
• Provide support during month-end and year-end closing activities as needed

Qualifications & Requirements

Educational Background

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field

Skills & Competencies

• Basic understanding of accounting principles (e.g., journal entries, financial statements)
• Strong interest in AI, automation, and digital transformation in finance
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; familiarity with Power BI, Python, or similar tools is an advantage
• Analytical mindset with strong attention to detail
• Good communication and documentation skills
• Ability to handle confidential financial information with integrity
