Accounting Administrator - Sila Services - Stoneham, MA

We’re looking for an organized, detail-oriented Accounting Administrator to support our day-to-day accounting and financial operations. This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys working with numbers, digging into data, figuring out discrepancies, and making sure everything is accurate.

This role will support several areas of the business, including accounts receivable, payroll, commissions, billing, and collections. We’re looking for someone who is comfortable working in ServiceTitan, has strong Excel skills and isn’t afraid to dig into the details to figure something out.

What You’ll Do

• Support day-to-day accounts receivable activities
• Review AR reports and follow up on outstanding balances
• Handle collections and follow up on past-due accounts
• Manage customer and membership billing
• Research billing issues, payment discrepancies and account questions
• Support payroll processing and review payroll information for accuracy
• Calculate and verify employee commissions
• Enter commission information accurately into the appropriate systems
• Review financial and operational data to identify errors, trends or discrepancies
• Create, maintain and update Excel spreadsheets and reports
• Enter and maintain accurate financial information in ServiceTitan and other systems
• Reconcile information between systems and research anything that doesn’t match
• Work with managers and other departments to gather missing information and resolve accounting issues
• Assist with month-end reporting and other accounting responsibilities as needed
• Maintain organized and accurate financial records
• Assist with special projects as needed

What We’re Looking For

• 2+ years of accounting, finance or similar administrative experience
• Experience with accounts receivable, billing, payroll and/or collections
• Experience calculating commissions or other variable compensation strongly preferred
• ServiceTitan financial/accounting experience strongly preferred
• Strong Excel skills, including formulas, spreadsheets and working with large amounts of data
• Comfortable analyzing numbers and identifying discrepancies
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Highly organized and able to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
• Comfortable learning new systems and processes
• Able to work independently and follow an issue through until it is resolved
• Strong communication skills and comfortable working with multiple departments

You don’t have to know everything on day one, but you do need to be someone who likes figuring things out. We’re looking for someone who notices when something doesn’t look right, asks questions, digs into the details, and follows through until the issue is resolved.
