POSITION: Accounting Administrator

JOB TYPE: Full Time


LOCATION: Clairmont, Alberta

SALARY/WAGE: $30.00 - $40.00/hour


The Agency is assisting Ground Level Land Corp in the recruitment of an experienced and independent Accounting Administrator. This established Grande Prairie-based company is seeking a detail-oriented accounting professional who thrives in a fast-paced, evolving environment and is committed to supporting company growth.

This role is ideal for someone with strong core accounting knowledge and experience working across a group of companies. The successful candidate will be confident in managing full-cycle accounting functions including AR, AP, payroll, and year-end processes, and must be flexible and adaptable, with the ability to pivot priorities and take direction in an evolving environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage full-cycle Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable, including collections
  • Complete bank and credit card reconciliations
  • Prepare and post general ledger entries
  • Process semi-monthly payroll
  • Assist with year-end reporting and tax-related requirements
  • Support development of long-range forecasts and financial plans
  • Maintain and organize office filing systems (paper and digital)
  • Ensure compliance with financial controls, standards, and procedures
  • Perform various accounting and administrative duties as required
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders across a group of companies

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Accounting Diploma or Degree
  • Minimum 5 years of AP/AR experience
  • Strong core knowledge of accounting principles, including:
    • AR, AP, payroll, and year-end entries
  • Understanding of balance sheet and income statement
  • Ability to navigate complex or ambiguous situations while maintaining compliance
  • High attention to detail with strong problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Maintain strict confidentiality and professionalism
  • Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office (including SharePoint)
  • Experience with QuickBooks, Sage, OpenInvoice, Invoice2go, and QuickBooks Workforce
  • Ability to work both independently and within a team
