The Maritime Accounting Department is seeking an Accounting Administrator for a term position. This would be to fill a one-year maternity leave. The Accounting Administrator will work from the Moncton NB office, and report directly to the Senior Controller. Duties include but are not limited to:

• Construction Job & Contract Setups in JDE & Invoicing
• Update, maintain and report on project budgets and forecasts on a regular basis.
• Prepare and submit journal entries to assist with monthly close processes
• Assist the Senior Controller and Quebec Regional Controller in generating financial statements to complete monthly and annual reporting packages
• Work with an independent audit firm for financial system audits.
• Liaison with Senior Controller, Quebec Regional Controller, Senior Accountant, Division Manager and co-workers
• Assist with Quarterly and Year-end inventory counts
• Processing cash receipts for A/R
• This position may also require assisting in other areas
• Being bilingual would be considered an asset

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

• Completion of a college program or courses in accounting or finance;
• Experience in a related field of work would be consider an asset
• Good communication and documentation skills with excellent interpersonal skills;
• Conscientious worker, who can work independently or in a team setting with minimal supervision; and
• Must be able to prioritize workload and work with deadlines on short notice.
