Accountant / Bookkeeper | Northshore, LA

Our client, a well-established CPA firm on the Northshore, is seeking an experienced Bookkeeper / Payroll Professional to join their team.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a small firm environment where client service, accuracy, and teamwork are valued. The position will support a variety of small business clients with bookkeeping, payroll, and related accounting functions.

Responsibilities:

• Process payroll and payroll tax reports for multiple clients
• Perform bank and account reconciliations
• Maintain general ledger activity and bookkeeping records
• Prepare sales tax filings and other recurring reports
• Assist clients with day-to-day accounting questions
• Support accountants and CPAs with client accounting services

Qualifications:

• Previous bookkeeping and payroll experience required
• Experience working in a CPA firm or client accounting environment preferred
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to manage multiple clients and deadlines
• Proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Excel
