Job Summary/Overview

This role will be based at Columbus McKinnon Corporation global headquarters with a hybrid work schedule. The Accountant, Tax will support various income tax functions including tax compliance, tax provision computations, and tax planning initiatives. The Accountant, Tax will be a key member of the tax department as the Company continues to grow and evolve.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• In-house preparation, in OneSource Income Tax software, of the consolidated group’s US federal and state income tax filings.
• Assist with the preparation, in OneSource Tax Provision, of the interim and annual tax provisions in accordance with ASC 740. Prepare supporting workpapers and reconciliations.
• Aid in foreign informational reporting (Forms 5471, 8858).
• Assist with tax research including analysis of new tax laws and the potential impact on the Company.
• Correspond with the IRS and state departments of revenue regarding notices and audits.
• Collaborate with global business unit controllers to obtain then analyze relevant tax data.
• Actively participate in the building of a professional, proactive, responsive, technically strong tax organization.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Experience with tax research tools or income tax preparation software is a plus.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Statistics or Analytics required.
• Plans to pursue CPA license.
• Prior Tax experience preferred.
