ABOUT THE ROLE

Our client is a Dubai-based single family office, who are seeking an experienced accountant to own the full finance function across a multi-entity structure. Reporting to the Family Office Director, this is a hands-on, single-owner role suited to someone meticulous, discreet, and comfortable running the complete accounting cycle in a lean environment. The role sits within a maker-checker approval framework, with the accountant as maker and the Director as approver.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Bookkeeping & Accounting

• Record all transactions (income, expenses, transfers) and maintain the general ledger
• Perform bank reconciliations across all accounts; manage petty cash

Financial Reporting

• Prepare monthly/quarterly financial statements (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow)
• Produce consolidated reporting across entities and investments; management reports for the Director

Accounts Payable & Receivable

• Process invoices and vendor payments; manage payment schedules and due dates
• Track rental income, dividends, and other receivables

Cash Flow & Treasury (core focus)

• Monitor liquidity across all accounts and forecast cash flow
• Manage FX exposure on multi-currency positions; coordinate transfers between personal and corporate accounts

Budgeting & Forecasting

• Prepare the annual budget; run variance analysis (actual vs. budget)

Tax & Compliance

• VAT filing, UAE Corporate Tax preparation, and timely regulatory filings (ESR, UBO)
• Liaise with external auditors

Payroll & HR Finance

• Process salaries via WPS; calculate end-of-service gratuity and leave provisions
• Administer DEWS/pension contributions

Investment Administration

• Track portfolio performance (equities, real estate, private equity); record capital calls and distributions
• Maintain investment and maturity schedules; coordinate with brokers, custodians, and fund managers

Insurance & Document Management

• Track policy renewals (health, property, vehicle, liability) and process claims
• Maintain financial records, contracts, audit trails, and corporate documents (trade licenses, leases)

REQUIREMENTS

• 5+ years of accounting experience, ideally within a family office, holding company, or SME group
• Demonstrated strength in cash flow management, forecasting, and cost control
• Hands-on experience with corporate banking portals (ADCB ProCash or similar) within a maker-checker workflow
• Working knowledge of Zoho (Books / Payroll) or comparable ERP
• Familiarity with UAE VAT, Corporate Tax, and WPS
• Strong Excel and reporting skills; high attention to detail
• Currently residing in Dubai; available on-site
• Absolute discretion and professional maturity
