The Fixed Assets Accountant is responsible for managing fixed asset accounting activities, ensuring accurate asset capitalization, depreciation, retirement, reporting, and compliance with company policies and accounting standards. The role partners closely with stakeholders across the business to deliver timely, accurate results and continuously improve fixed asset processes and controls.
FIXED ASSET ACCOUNTING: Create and maintain fixed asset master records and asset cards; perform asset capitalization, transfers, retirements, disposals, and other fixed asset lifecycle transactions. Ensure all transactions are recorded accurately and in a timely manner.
REPORTING AND ANALYSIS: Prepare and analyze fixed asset reports, including 2000/3500 reports, CapEx reports, fixed asset listings, depreciation analysis reports, and other management reporting requirements.
MONTH-END AND YEAR-END CLOSE: Support monthly, quarterly, and annual closing activities, including depreciation calculation, reconciliations, journal entries, variance analysis, and fixed asset reporting.
POLICY COMPLIANCE & CONTROLS: Maintain compliance with accounting policies, internal controls, statutory requirements, and financial reporting standards related to fixed assets.
BUSINESS PARTNERSHIP: Work closely with stakeholders to resolve issues, provide accounting guidance, and ensure accurate and efficient process execution.
PROCESS IMPROVEMENT: Proactively identify unreasonable, inefficient, or non-value-added processes and recommend improvements. Drive process optimization initiatives and ensure timely delivery of agreed outputs and commitments.
• Strong knowledge of fixed asset accounting principles and processes.
• 3-4 years of relevant Fixed Asset accounting experience; exceptional candidates may be considered with less experience.
• Strong communication skills, Continuous improvement mindset.
• Specific basic English listening, speaking, reading and writing abilities.
