The Accountant Manager 3 is a highly responsible administrative accounting position that functions as a senior fiscal manager within the Fiscal Division of Louisiana Works. The incumbent is responsible for planning, organizing, and managing major accounting and fiscal programs and serves as principle support to the Fiscal Director.
The Office of Management and Finance (OMF) oversees the agency’s fiscal operations, budgeting, procurement and contracts, human resources, and other key administrative functions. We provide the internal support and oversight needed to ensure efficient, accountable, and transparent agency operations. OMF does not deliver direct services to the public.

•Directs, through subordinate managers, the planning, organization, and evaluation of fiscal operations to ensure alignment with departmental goals and regulatory requirements.
•Provides guidance, consultation, and technical direction to Accountant Managers and staff on complex fiscal and regulatory matters.
•Directs and oversees, through subordinate managers, daily accounting operations and financial reporting activities supporting all Louisiana Works programs.
•Establishes and enforces procedures governing payment processing, approvals, and documentation to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and audit readiness.
•Advises executive leadership on fiscal implications and provides recommendations related to financial strategy, policy development, and legislative initiatives.
