We are looking for an Accountant, Intercompany to join our Record to Report team in Sofia, Bulgaria. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting the Kalmar Intercompany process, including performance measures, process standards, and policies across global touchpoints and interfaces to related process areas. This is a great opportunity to deepen your accounting expertise in an international environment and contribute to Kalmar’s global financial excellence.

What are your key responsibilities:

• Matching & Cash Application: Support and oversee matching remittances to open invoices and applying cash on a Global IC level, resolving remittance mismatches and cash application issues.
• Reconciliations & Netting: Reconcile and resolve intercompany balances, perform internal AP/AR aging validation, and manage netting checks for upcoming month-end closes.
• Billing & Recharges: Execute manual billing requests, generate IC customer invoices (such as royalties and transfer pricing), complete IC recharges, and perform accrual list checks.
• Reporting & Financial Close: Complete IC reporting, month-end close reporting, HappyNow reporting, and overhead follow-up (budget vs. actuals) in compliance with agreed deadlines.
• System Monitoring & Support: Monitor IC-AP invoice processing in Basware, manage ServiceNow incidents, support 3rd-party outsourcing partners, and provide system training (SAP, Basware) to team members.

What you bring to the role:

• Education & experience: University degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics and 2–4 years of relevant experience in finance or accounting operations.
• Accounting & process knowledge: Understanding of the Record to Report (R2R) process and experience handling simple to complex finance queries.
• Systems & tools: Proficiency in ERP systems and Google Workspace.
• Analytical & quality mindset: Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and ability to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data.
• Communication & collaboration: Full professional proficiency in English, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to work effectively with international stakeholders.
