Job Description

We are seeking an interim Accountant (end of August) to support our long-standing Austrian manufacturing partner.

Financially stable with a FMCG customer base

Location: Budapest, District XXIII

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Higher education degree in a relevant field
  • Certified accountant
  • 3-5 years of accounting and finance experience, with a strong focus on accounts payable
  • Up-to-date knowledge of accounting and tax legislation (secondary to AP focus)
  • Proficient in MS Office
  • Advantage: Proficient in SAP FI
  • Advantage, but not a must!: Proficient in written and spoken English or German
  • Able to work independently and meet deadlines

WORK ARRANGEMENT:

  • Interim role through the end of August
  • 6 hours per day
  • Based in Budapest, District XXIII
  • Part-time coverage under the supervision of the chief accountant

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Primary focus on accounts payable: vendor invoices, validation, posting, reconciliation with purchase orders, and timely payments
  • Support the daily work of two accountants (AP-focused tasks)
  • Determine and maintain payment schedules to ensure timely vendor payments
  • Ensure consistency between the general ledger and analytics
  • Participate in monthly and annual closings
  • Assist in forecasts and budgeting processes (as needed)
  • Assist with inventories
  • Contribute to SAP maintenance and development efforts
